This workshop builds on the skills learnt in the Introduction to Spoon Carving workshop.
Using the skills you have learnt in previous workshops, you will carve you spoon, focusing on improving your skills to create a unique spoon. Areas you could work on include the thickness of the bowl, more intricate or delicate shape, the crank of the spoon, decorating the handle.
There will be various spoon blank shapes and different timbers to choose from. Pick the blank that speaks to you. Timbers and shapes will vary from workshop to workshop due to timber availability.

Spoon blank
Use of tools (tools are available to purchase during the class)
Various specialty tools such as v-chisels
Finishing products such as milk paint and brushes
Your finished spoon to take home
What to wear
Closed in shoes
Clothes you don't mind getting dirty, or an apron to protect your clothes.

This workshop is designed for those who have carving experience. If you have not completed a workshop with Black Wattle Woodshop before, please contact us before you book in.
Workshops require a minimum of 4 participants to go ahead.
Cancellation Policy
Please do not attend this event if you are feeling unwell. If you cannot attend due to illness please email Black Wattle Woodshop as soon as you can. A full refund will be provided, or a reschedule without charge will be arranged if you cancel due to health issues 48 hours prior to the workshop date. If you cancel within 48 to 24 hours of the workshop date, you can transfer your booking to a friend or family member, or receive a 70% refund. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice, or no shows will not receive a refund or be able to transfer to another date or person.
